On the first day of Christmas service my true love gave to me...

Do something unexpected for another family member!

  1. Today I had the opportunity to do something unexpected for a family member, and it made my entire day. So often when we think of service, we think of projects for people who may be strangers or acquaintances..today taught me to open my eyes a little wider to see the people in our lives who are the "stage crew..."...working tirelessly behind the scenes to let the rest of us shine. There are so many great examples of selfless service in our family it was incredible to pay a little back! As I think about the 12 days of Christmas service....I think about the 12 disciples of the Savior...and how every act of love brings us one step closer to being that disciple!

  2. Our house was filled with little unexpected surprises...there were notes on pillows, beds made, clothes and toys put away, eclairs in the fridge, shirts taken to the cleaners and a special surprise under the tree! The thing I learned most was that I need to stop, slow down and think...and when I do I see more clearly how to help the people around me! xxoo
